Installation notes for Updated Aculab Drivers for DPNSS 5.11.10 Patch (38912) and CallXpress E1 updates. NOTE: THIS INSTALL WILL ONLY SUPPORT PCI based ACULAB CARDS! ISA cards will not be operational after this install. This patch is built as a compressed file: 750Patch38912.zip. By default it will extract this note and a self extracting installation file 750Patch38912.exe to D:\ drive. If the install fails with a disk space error, try copying the patch to c:\. Before running the patch, - Shutdown CallXpress and set to “manual” startup - Shutdown Dialogic services and set to “manual” startup UNINSTALLING ACULAB DRIVERS This includes removal of Aculab Board Configuration using the Aculab Configuration Tool (ACT) (program files/Aculab/GUI Installer/configtool.exe) and uninstalling the Aculab software. To remove the Aculab board configuration with the ACT: 1. Select each card and click Remove. (Repeat for each card) 2. Click OK to close ACT To remove the Aculab software: 1. Verify that the Aculab Configuration Tool is not running. If it is, click OK to exit from it. 2. From the Start menu, point to Settings and click Control Panel. 3. In the Control Panel window, double-click Add / Remove Programs. 4. In the list of installed programs, find Aculab Configuration Tool and highlight it if necessary. 5. Under Aculab Configuration Tool, click Change / Remove. 6. In the Confirm File Deletion dialog box, click Yes. 7. When the words “Uninstall successfully completed” appear at the bottom of the Remove Programs From Your Computer dialog box, click OK. 8. Click Close to exit from the Add / Remove Programs dialog box, then close the Control Panel window. 9. Delete the Aculab folder contents and the Aculab folder from C:\Program files INSTALLING THE PATCH - Run 750Patch38912.exe from the extracted location. This will automatically run the Aculab Configuration Tool. NOTE: when the install of the Aculab Configuration Tool completes it will be pre-selected to reboot. SELECT NO REBOOT. Then click finish. Installation of the Aculab Configuration Tool 1. At the Welcome dialog box, click Next. 2. At the Choose Destination Location dialog box, click Next. 3. At the Setup Type dialog box, select All Components for the setup type and click Next. 4. At the Select Program Folder dialog box, accept the Aculab folder and click Next. 5. At the Setup Complete dialog box, leave the check box clear and click Finish. 6. At the Setup Complete dialog box, select --> NO, I will restart my computer later and click Finish. COMPLETING THE INSTALL Once the installation of the Aculab Configuration Tool completes, you will see the patch installer screen. When finished, it will be set to reboot. Leave this selection and click finish. NOTE: On Windows 2003: Following reboot the system may automatically detect new PCI hardware. If you see a screen 'Found New Hardware Wizard' for Aculab E1/T1 PCI Trunk Card, leave it set to 'Install the software automatically' and click next. You may get a screen 'Security Alert' for 'Aculab E1/T1 PCI Trunk Card' 'INF does not contain digital signature information' click yes and allow the system to continue with the update. This may occur for each Aculab device you have in the system. CONFIGURING THE E1 CARDS After you install Aculab Configuration Tool, you can use it to configure Aculab cards. To configure cards in Aculab Configuration Tool: 1. From the Start menu, point to Programs, then Aculab, and click Aculab Configuration Tool. The Aculab Card Configuration dialog box appears. 2. From the Card Overview tab, click Add. A list of detected cards appear in the Please Select A Card dialog box. 3. Select the fist card and click OK. 4. Click the Protocols tab, then select the port from the list and click Set Protocol. 5. Select the appropriate protocol from the list. 6. Click OK, If the Protocol Wizard appears (for Dual and Quad boards); Select All the same as this one, click OK, 7. Click the Switch tab. The first or only Aculab card installed in the platform Select Net 1 from the Clock Source box and select SC-BUS from the Drive box. Neither the first nor the only Aculab card installed in the platform Select SC-BUS from the Clock Source box. 9. Click OK. Note The Status column on the Card Overview tab indicates Changed for the card that you configured. 10. If you have two or more cards to configure, repeat steps 2-9 for each card. Otherwise, click OK on the Aculab Card Configuration dialog box. NOTE: On Windows 2003: The Found New Hardware wizard may run automatically. If so, select Install. You may get a screen 'Security Alert' for 'Aculab Switch Device' 'INF does not contain digital signature information' click yes and allow the system to continue with the update. This may occur for the Aculab Call control Device as well and may repeat for each card in you system. Verify Dialogic Operation - Start the Dialogic service using the DCM and verify operation (green indicator on boards). - Set the Dialogic Service to auto start. - Set the CallXpress service to auto start.
